Procurement

In the last number of years contracting has moved away from traditional type "Construct Only" contracts towards Design & Build and PPP (Public Private Partnership) Projects. The Group embraced this change and completed the First PPP road project - The Dundalk Western Bypass.

PPPs feature strongly on our workbooks with the N25 Waterford By Pass PPP (commenced May 2006 - BAM Civil in joint venture with Dragados to construct a 23km dual carriageway by-pass of Waterford City including a 440m Cable Stay Bridge) and the M7/M8 Portlaoise Bypass Scheme will also commence shortly (design, build, finance, toll operation & maintenance of approximately 41km of standard 2 lane motorway, forming part of the N7 Dublin-Limerick route and the N8 Dublin-Cork route).
